James Guerra

Chief Executive Officer

James has served education systems in various roles since 2004. He recognized early in his career that human capital is the driving force for sustaining and improving all school systems. James believes that teachers and executive-level leaders are equally responsible for providing every student with an opportunity for post-graduation success.

Since founding the company in 2014, James had one goal in mind: to support any school system in the country with a clear focus of retaining the best-in-class educators while supporting a select group of educational partners that offer a unique blend of products and services to ensure that every learner has the necessary tools to achieve academic success.

James graduated from Texas State University in 2004 with a BA in Public Relations. He proudly serves on the Austin Ed Fund Board, is an Advisory Board Member of Wilson Global Initiative (WGI), and Board Member with Friends of Texas Public Schools. He recently served two terms on the Leadership Council with Texas State University. He resides in Georgetown, Texas where the company headquarters is located.

As Chief of Staff, Jacob plays a central role in advancing the firm’s mission to support school systems in identifying exceptional leaders, strengthening organizational capacity, and fostering high-performing learning environments. With a commitment to service, precision and partnership, Jacob oversees key organizational functions that ensure the firm delivers a seamless and transparent experience to every client.

Known for his professionalism, responsiveness, and ability to build strong relationships, Jacob brings a collaborative, solutions-focused approach to each engagement. His commitment to accuracy and unwavering dedication to client service reflect the firm’s values and its belief that people are an organization’s greatest asset. Jacob ensures that every district and partner receives high-quality support that is thoughtful, timely, and aligned with the needs of the communities they serve.

Lisa Goodell

Chief Administrative Officer

Lisa is a multi-talented professional whose expertise spans business development, project management, web design, and organizational systems. As JG Consulting’s CAO, she is responsible for managing the firm’s workflows and projects, ensuring all initiatives remain organized, aligned, and on track. Lisa also leads marketing, and the development of district proposals, serving as the firm’s primary proposal writer and overseeing responses to RFPs with clarity, precision, and strategic insight. 

Recognized for her empathy and compassion, Lisa approaches every engagement with a people-centered mindset—seeking to understand client needs, support colleagues, and foster meaningful, collaborative relationships. As a natural systems thinker, Lisa understands how to connect the big picture with the finer details, enabling her to manage complex projects while identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization. Her blend of strategic insight, technical expertise, and compassionate leadership strengthens the firm’s capacity to grow, innovate, and consistently deliver exceptional service to its district partners.
