Dr. Luz Martinez – Lone Finalist for Superintendent, Kingsville ISD
On July 31, 2025, the Kingsville Independent School District Board of Trustees unanimously voted to name Dr. Luz Martinez as the lone finalist for superintendent. With nearly 30 years of experience in education — from high school administration to leadership roles within the Texas Education Agency — Dr. Martinez is known for her commitment to fostering student success, developing high-performing teams, and building collaborative community partnerships.
Her appointment marks an important moment for Kingsville ISD as the district looks toward a future of academic growth, innovation, and equity-driven leadership.
Dr. Josefa Dávila – Chief Academic Officer, Cleveland ISD
Cleveland ISD recently announced several key leadership appointments in preparation for the 2025–2026 school year, including Dr. Josefa Dávila as Chief Academic Officer. With a strong background in curriculum development, instructional strategy, and teacher support, Dr. Dávila will lead the district’s academic vision and ensure that every campus is equipped to meet the diverse needs of its students.
Her leadership will play a central role in driving innovation in teaching and learning, expanding opportunities for student achievement, and fostering a collaborative academic culture across Cleveland ISD.
