Today, I am proud to share that our firm has reached an important milestone: the successful placement of our 67th superintendent, Dr. Leanne Shivers, who has been named the lone finalist for Superintendent of Coppell Independent School District.
This achievement reflects not only the trust that Coppell ISD placed in JG Consulting to guide this search, but also our ongoing mission to connect extraordinary educational leaders with the communities they will serve.
A Rigorous National Search
Coppell ISD entrusted JG Consulting with conducting a nationwide search to identify its next leader. After reviewing 45 applicants and facilitating a comprehensive interview process, the Board of Trustees unanimously selected Dr. Shivers as the candidate best suited to carry forward the district’s legacy of excellence.
Our role in this process was to ensure every voice was heard, every stakeholder was considered, and every candidate was evaluated with the highest level of integrity and thoroughness.
Why Dr. Shivers Stands Out
Dr. Shivers brings with her 26 years of educational experience, from her early career as an English teacher to her recent work as Assistant Superintendent in Keller ISD. Along the way, she has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to student success, innovative instructional practices, and responsible leadership.
Her career has touched nearly every facet of public education:
- Teacher and campus leader in Grapevine-Colleyville, Southlake Carroll, and Coppell ISD
- Principal at Coppell Middle School North and New Tech High @ Coppell
- District leader in Keller ISD, serving in roles from Executive Director to Assistant Superintendent
She has been instrumental in long-range planning, budget development, and expanding advanced academic opportunities for all students. These qualities are precisely what made her stand out in this national search.
