I’m thrilled to share that JG Consulting has reached a significant milestone – our 200th executive search, partnering with Hartford Public Schools to find their next Superintendent. The Journey That Built JG Consulting
When I founded JG Consulting in 2014, my vision was simple but powerful: to support school systems, school boards, cities, and municipalities by identifying and placing exceptional leaders who can transform education. Having worked in education since 2004, I understood that human capital is the cornerstone of any successful school system. Without strong leadership, even the best resources and strategies fall short.
From those early days, we’ve grown into one of the nation’s largest executive search firms specializing exclusively in pre-K-12 education. Over the years, we’ve completed over 200 executive searches, including 65 superintendent searches across 22 states. Each search has been an opportunity to connect talented leaders with communities eager to improve academic outcomes and operational excellence.

- Principals Academy: Equips instructional coaches and teachers to transition into assistant principal and principal roles.

Innovative Tools to Elevate the Search Process
To enhance our search capabilities, we developed proprietary tools like A+VER, which provides detailed, data-driven candidate profiles and district metrics. This ensures our clients have all the information they need to make informed hiring decisions.
We also launched SuperintendentSearch.net, an online directory featuring over 12,000 school systems nationwide. This platform helps districts post jobs, increase visibility, and attract top-tier candidates from across the country.

James has served education systems in various roles since 2004. He recognized early in his career that human capital is the driving force for sustaining and improving all school systems. James believes that teachers and executive-level leaders are equally responsible for providing every student with an opportunity for post-graduation success. Since founding the company in 2014, James had one goal in mind: to support any school system in the country with a clear focus of retaining the best-in-class educators while supporting a select group of educational partners that offer a unique blend of products and services to ensure that every learner has the necessary tools to achieve academic success.
